Conference "The Urban 'Simplex' of 2026"

The Regional Coordination and Development Commission of Algarve, I.P. (CCDR Algarve) is promoting, on the next July 17, 2026, the conference "The 2026 Urban Planning 'Simplex'", which will take place at the Grand Auditorium of the Gambelas Campus of the University of Algarve.
The initiative will bring together specialists, representatives of public entities, and professionals in the field to analyze the latest changes to the Legal Regime of Urbanization and Construction (RJUE) and discuss their impacts on the processing of urban procedures.
Throughout four thematic tables, topics such as the review of the RJUE, prior control and the request for prior information, procedural processing, and the decision of urban planning procedures will be addressed, promoting a space for reflection and knowledge sharing among the various stakeholders in the sector.
The opening session will feature the participation of the President of CCDR Algarve, José Apolinário, the Rector of the University of Algarve, Alexandra Teodósio, the President of the Intermunicipal Community of Algarve - AMAL, António Pina, as well as representatives from the Orders of Lawyers, Architects, and Engineers, and the Institute of Legal-Political Sciences.
The closing session will feature interventions from the Vice-Presidents of CCDR Algarve, Teresa Correia, responsible for the Environment area, and Jorge Botelho, responsible for the Spatial Planning area.
