"Sofia Brito continues to question the heritage we absorb without choice, from a culture based on the self-extinction of Nature. Baubo is a contemporary dance piece created within the scope of the Artist-Mother project. It arises from the unique imaginings of this collective of women, artists, and mothers, about the archetype of the wild woman. Baubo, goddess of the womb, emerges from the body as an instinctive force that awakens voices of sacred feminine experience: a body that laughs, a body that knows, a source of wisdom and sanity."
