My Beautiful Land

The Manuela Vale Municipal Gallery, at the Master Fernando Rodrigues School of Arts in Lagoa, will host the Group Exhibition 🎨My Beautiful Land🖼️, presented by the Pique Alunos Group, from 1 to 30 October. Entry is free!

The Pique Alunos Group is pleased to announce its new group exhibition of visual arts, titled "My Beautiful Land".

This international collective brings together artists from various nationalities who have shared a common passion for about 25 years. Every Tuesday afternoon, the group meets at the Lagoa School of Arts to work, exchange ideas, and enhance their artistic activity through a wide variety of techniques, themes, and materials — from portrait and life model workshops to still life and outdoor landscape painting.

This time, the exhibition invites the public to travel through the origins, memories, and dreams of each member. The works reflect both the nostalgia and affection for their homeland as well as the deep connection and experiences held in the country they have chosen to live in now, with particular emphasis on the inspiration drawn from the municipality of Lagoa.

The show features individual works created in recent months by a diverse group of talents: Antje Lankenau, Christine Juson, Chantal Vierse, Francis Velleman, Gudrun Witt, José de Sousa Veiga, Karin Vlieger, Ingrid Vlieger, Lucy Bates, Marie-France Hansen, Michael Webster, Mirjam Cool, Sonja Dijkhuizen, Eleanor Clayman, Olena Bosenok, and Desiree Hoppenbrouwers.

We invite you to celebrate this artistic event, which not only enriches the cultural landscape of Lagoa but also promotes a unique multicultural dialogue. An unmissable opportunity to appreciate the creativity and camaraderie that flourish within this vibrant group of artists.

The exhibition opens to the public on 1 October at 18:00.

Until 30 October, the exhibition can be visited free of charge, Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 12:00 and/or from 14:30 to 17:00.
