On 18 September, between 9:00pm and 11:00pm, the Municipal Park of Sítio das Fontes in Estômbar will host the activity 🦋Discovering Night Butterflies: Understanding and Demystifying Night Butterflies🌚, organised by Associação A Rocha in partnership with the Municipality of Lagoa.
Night butterflies or moths are often misunderstood, ignored, or associated with misconceptions. This activity invites the public to learn more about these species, understand their importance for ecosystem balance and food security, and recognise why they should be protected and conserved.
The activity is open to the general public aged over 16, and participation is free with mandatory registration via email: paula.banza@arocha.org, limited to the first 20 registrations.
