September 7 to 28, 2026
All day
Online
The European Documentation Centre of the University of Algarve and Europe Direct Algarve, in partnership with the MOVE Network, and through «RUA FM» - University Radio of Algarve (https://rua.pt/programas/rua-da-europa/), promote a program aimed at broadening young people's horizons about the European Union. The program will be broadcast every Monday, on September 7, 14, 21, and 28 by various public and private entities working in the Algarve for Europe, and for the benefit of the Algarve community and cross-border cooperation.
The target audience is young people! We talk about young people as agents of development promotion, organized or in informal groups, as well as young people for whom policies, measures, and projects are built daily for greater inclusion and awareness of this European Union that aims to be ever closer and at the service of all.
With a duration of 5 to 10 minutes, the program (which started on December 13, 2021) is broadcast every Monday at 8:45 AM and 6:45 PM, featuring young people, youth groups, public and private entities working in the Algarve for Europe, for the benefit of the Algarve community and cross-border cooperation. The production and editing of the program is also handled by young people, students or volunteers, who are studying or doing Erasmus projects in the Algarve.
This weekly program includes various segments, including SPEAKCORNER - a space where, through various languages, a set of typical and useful expressions for everyday communication in an increasingly intercultural society is introduced. In the weekly INTERVIEW, we aim to showcase who, in the Algarve and in cross-border cooperation, develops projects with and for young people. The other segments are the EU BREVES - with useful information and news about initiatives or programs of the European Union – and finally, DID YOU KNOW presents curiosities about the EU.
The choice of «RUA FM at 102.7FM» to broadcast this program is due to the fact that it is a university radio listened to by many young people, of various nationalities and with very diverse interests.
