Off, Off explores the culture of remix, bootleg, and fandom as practices of repurposing and recontextualization, questioning the value of authorship, authenticity, and originality in the artistic industry, especially in a context marked by the apocalyptic times we live in. The performer’s body and the musical score become spaces of overlapping references and gestures from a vast and sometimes contradictory set of aesthetic languages — from viral TikTok dances to forms of traditional Greek dance, passing through the aesthetics of memes and the physicality of riots.
