“Expedition Praia de Faro – Deserta – Praia de Faro” The event is part of the annual activities calendar of the Nautical Center and aims to conduct a kayaking route in Ria Formosa, approximately 20 km, heading to Ilha Deserta/Barreta. Departure and arrival will be at the Nautical Center of Praia de Faro. DATE: July 4, 2026. LOCATION: Praia de Faro - Nautical Center - Deserta - Praia de Faro PROGRAM 08:30 – Reception of participants 09:00 – Departure from Praia de Faro 11:30 - Estimated arrival at Deserta 12:00-14:00 - Lunch on the go, stroll, visit to Cabo de Santa Maria 14:30 – Departure for Praia de Faro 17:30 – Estimated arrival at Praia 18:30 – Snack/Dinner at a local restaurant *These are estimated times, as outdoor activities are subject to existing conditions on the event days. Requirements for the event: - Must have Level I kayaking certification from the Nautical Center + completion of 2 Sunday outings; - Must have Level II kayaking certification from the Nautical Center; Target audience: The activity is aimed at all users of the Nautical Center and other interested parties, provided they meet the requirements set by the organization. Registrations can be made by email or by submitting a form at the Nautical Center, and will only be finalized after payment. The registration deadline will be June 19.
