VI Wind and Percussion Orchestra Workshop of Lagoa

The 6th edition of the Wind and Percussion Orchestra Workshop of Lagoa continues to focus on training, exchange, and cultural promotion of music in the municipality of Lagoa. During the week of July 20 to 25, 2026, ARTIS XXI will host around 90 young people from all over the country in Lagoa.

The VI Wind and Percussion Orchestra Workshop will be directed by conductor Filipe Fonseca, who will bring an original and varied repertoire for wind and percussion orchestra. In addition to working with the Maestro, participants will have the opportunity to work closely with a group of renowned regional and national teachers and musicians, enhancing instrumental techniques and fostering their musical growth, both individually and collectively.

The closing of the workshop will be marked by two concerts: on July 24, at the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, and on July 25, with the already traditional concert at the iconic Carvoeiro Beach. In these final moments, the young musicians will present to the public the results of the work developed over an intense week of training and artistic sharing.
