Luiz Conceição International Architecture Award [5th edition]

From 12 October to 6 November, the Manuel Gamboa Temporary Exhibition Room at the S. José Cultural Centre will host the exhibition of the ten finalist works for the Luiz Conceição International Architecture Award [5th edition]. Entry is free.

This travelling exhibition showcases the ten finalist works from the 5th edition of the Luiz Conceição International Architecture Award, which included participation from students of national and international higher education institutions. The exhibition highlights the graphic, conceptual, and technical quality of the distinguished proposals, showcasing the talent, creativity, and academic rigor of their authors. Established to recognise the merit of architecture students, the award promotes public dissemination of work developed in various pedagogical and cultural contexts.

The jury was chaired by Silvia Covarino from the German University in Cairo, and included Alexandra Paio from ISCTE; Ana Moreira from FAUL; José Carvalho and Nadir Bonaccorso from ISMAT; Vítor Lourenço representing the Algarve Regional Section of the Architects' Association; and Rada Doytcheva, a member of the Chicago Architects Association. The jury's composition ensured a plural, qualified, and international evaluation.

The exhibition opens on 12 October at 17:00.

It can be visited for free from Monday to Friday between 09:30 and 12:00 and/or between 14:30 and 17:00.
