Pottery Wheel Workshop

The Escola de Artes de Lagoa - Mestre Fernando Rodrigues in Lagoa is hosting another edition of the training 🔨Pottery Wheel Workshop - Intensive Level I - beginner🏺, led by instructor Ricardo Lopes, taking place from 5 to 8 October. This training runs on weekdays from 9:30am to 1:30pm and is aimed at the general public aged 16 and over.

The Municipality of Lagoa is committed to preserving, enhancing and transmitting the arts of pottery and ceramics, elements deeply connected to the cultural identity of our municipality.

This intensive Level I training is designed for anyone interested in starting their learning on the pottery wheel, providing a solid foundation of technical and practical knowledge. Throughout the workshop, participants will explore the fundamental principles of shaping clay on the wheel, developing essential skills for creating unique pieces and author works.

This initiative is part of the actions promoted by the Municipality to disseminate this ancient art, complementing the work developed through regular workshops and the Pottery and Ceramics Centre, a visitable space that preserves and promotes local and national pottery heritage.
