The travelling exhibition "Principles of the Charter of Educating Cities", organised by the Portuguese Territorial Network of Educating Cities (RTPCE), invites the community to reflect on the territory, the planet, and the world. It highlights the importance of children's participation and values such as inclusion, coexistence, equity, justice, and peace.

Its objectives include raising awareness among the educational community and the general public about the transformative role of education, strengthening the relationship between schools and society, and promoting both formal and informal learning as well as mechanisms for the participation of children and young people, which are considered fundamental rights. The organisation and content presented are based on the Charter of Educating Cities, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, emphasising the centrality of education and civic participation.
