The Municipal Galleries of Loulé, in collaboration with the Alfaia Association, present the exhibition Girl, it's not that deep, featuring artists Beatriz Brum, Isabel Medeiros, Maria Moderno, and curated by Jesse James. Based on an artistic residency developed between Loulé, Lisbon, and Ponta Delgada, and a shared experience in the Loulé Salt-Gem Mine, the exhibition approaches different ways of accessing what exceeds human experience.
Through processes of crystallization, protective practices, affective cartographies, and cosmological speculations, the gathered works explore forms of orientation, care, and rebalancing in the face of different temporalities, belief systems, and ways of imagining the world.
