Tourism Strategy until 2035: Portimão Listens to Residents and Businesses
View original eventSource · CM Portimao
Until 13 November, online surveys are available to gather feedback from residents and businesses regarding the Tourism Strategy for Portimão until 2035.
The resident survey seeks to understand the opinions of those living in the municipality about tourism, its effects on daily life, and the priorities that should guide the destination in the coming years.
The economic agents survey targets businesses and entities operating in the tourism sector of the municipality, such as accommodation, food and beverage, tourist entertainment, maritime tourism, travel agencies, commerce, transport, and vehicle rentals. It collects information on recent business performance, challenges faced, and priorities for the destination.
Both surveys are available in Portuguese and English. Responses are confidential and analysed in aggregate.
The Strategy is being developed by IPDT, Tourism Intelligence, and will define the priorities for the development and promotion of tourism in Portimão until 2035.
The work began in August and includes the analysis of statistical information, a technical visit to the municipality, and meetings with entities and entrepreneurs, including the Board of the Portimão Tourism Association.
The surveys complete this phase of consultation, and their results will be integrated into the diagnosis. The conclusion of the Strategy is expected in February 2027.
These surveys are bilingual (Portuguese and English) and are directed at residents, available through the following links:
