Sessions
8 sessions“Stories with (A)rms” is designed to welcome families with babies aged 0 to 36 months in a space of affection, presence, and discovery, where books are the starting point.
The aim is to promote the bond between caregivers (families) and babies through reading, music, movement, and sensory experiences, always starting with books.
We believe that reading in early childhood, shared in a lap, amidst gestures, sounds, and emotions, strengthens bonds, stimulates the child's overall development, and lays the foundation for a positive relationship with books and cultural spaces.
In this context, the municipal library plays an essential role as a vibrant space for meeting, belonging, and sharing across generations. By opening its doors to families and young children, it becomes a cradle of stories, cuddles, and memories.
More than just telling stories, the municipal library aims to embrace children with time, care, and attention – with hugs that read, sing, and welcome.
Ana Dias is the promoter of this project, which will take place on 12 and 26 September, 3 and 17 October, 7 and 21 November, and 5 and 19 December.
