On 10 September at 6:00pm, the Municipal Library of Lagoa will host the presentation of the book Between Howls and Sighs by Carmindo de Carvalho. The book will be presented by David Roque and entry is free!
Carmindo de Carvalho is a Portuguese poet and writer. His work carries a strong critical and social tone, reflecting life experiences marked by work, emigration, and observation of reality.
In this book, he creates Juvenal, a brilliant and award-winning young scientist who accepts a secret mission proposed by a powerful general: to create a prototype of an obedient soldier incapable of feeling pain.
