As part of the global company Ingka Centres, MAR Shopping Algarve promotes play as an essential tool for learning. The ‘Dominguinhos’ is an educational project that offers a set of free activities every Sunday at 11:00 am, in the children's area on Floor 0, next to the Centroxogo/IKEA store. The cultural programming includes playful and educational experiences for children and families in the community, promoting development and social interaction, while reinforcing the concept of Meeting Place.
In July, ‘Dominguinhos’ dives (literally) into the ocean universe and invites children to explore the best of the season. In a light and relaxed environment, the little ones are challenged to experiment, express themselves, and gain confidence, while developing skills naturally, always in the spirit of summer.
‘Fitinhas’ | Jumpers (July 4) What if it were possible to communicate with animals and understand what they say? In Jumpers, science allows the transfer of human consciousness into robotic animal bodies, opening the door to a new form of interaction with the wild world. The story follows Mabel, a young girl passionate about animals, who uses this technology and ends up discovering unexpected mysteries about the animal universe and how we relate to it.
This initiative is aimed at children aged 3 to 12 and accompanying adults (maximum of two adults and five people per group) and starts at 10:30 am. For each session, 450 tickets are available, which can be picked up at the information desk, from Monday to Friday, during the opening hours of MAR Shopping Algarve, always in the week of the session. The access regulations will be available at marshopping.com.
‘DOMINGUINHOS’ JULY PROGRAMMING
July 5 | Artistic Workshop – Sea of Colors Inspired by the ocean, this workshop invites children to shape their imagination through color and free experimentation. Among mixtures and unique creations, they will be able to explore different materials while developing fine motor skills and creative expression.
July 12 | Songs & Dance – Dancing on the Waves Music and movement in the same activity? We want it! With simple but rhythmic choreographies, children are invited to feel the music, stimulating coordination, rhythmic sense, and body expression.
July 19 | Children's Theater – The Octopus Who Was Afraid of the Sea When fear resides where we should feel at home, stories are born that make it visible. This legend adapted to the children's universe tells of a neighborhood where an octopus born for the sea, but for reasons no one can explain, is afraid to return to it.
July 26 | Family Games – Shell Challenge Who will be the tide champion? That’s what we will discover in the last activity of the month, where shells are the protagonists of a series of challenges designed to test memory, agility, and cooperation.
