Concert with Ricardo Toste (organ) and Rebeca Csalog (harpist)

As part of the XIX International Organ Festival of the Algarve, the Mother Church of Lagoa will host a concert featuring Ricardo Toste (organ) and Rebeca Csalog (harpist) on 1 November at 18:00, and entry is free.

Ricardo Toste, from Terceira Island in the Azores, began studying the organ in 2001 and developed his training at the University of Aveiro, where he completed his Bachelor's in Music and two Master's degrees in Theory and Musical Training and in Pipe Organ. He has performed solo concerts in mainland Portugal and the Azores, establishing himself as a performer and educator. He currently teaches Musical Training and Organ at various artistic education institutions and serves as the titular organist at the Cathedral of Aveiro, maintaining an active connection to liturgical music and training young musicians.

Rebeca Csalog, a Portuguese-Hungarian harpist born in Lisbon, grew up in a musically inclined family, starting with the violin and later the harp. After completing her music studies, she graduated in Anthropology and obtained a Master's in Migrations, Inter-Ethnicities, and Transnationalism. She returned to music in 2020, completing a Master's in Harp at ESML and a postgraduate course in Milan. She currently performs as a harpist with some of Portugal's leading orchestras, as well as in solo and chamber music projects, exploring repertoires beyond classical tradition.
