Jazz on The Move | Photography Exhibition | Carlos do Carmo Auditorium | Lagoa

Started in 2018 and renewed every year, this visual project gathers images captured during concerts, rehearsals, behind the scenes, and moments of creation. Through photography, each musical moment transforms into a memory, revealing the energy of the stage, the concentration of the musicians, the camaraderie between artists, and the emotion shared with the audience.

Touring the Algarve, the exhibition reinvents itself at each location - each space adds a new atmosphere and renews the dialogue between jazz, photography, and territory.

With Artistic Direction by Fátima Vargas, Jazz On The Move is a visual journey through the universe of the Algarve Jazz Orchestra that renews itself each year. More than documenting the Orchestra's activity, it seeks to reveal what music leaves in the gaze after the sound ends. The exhibition is free to enter but subject to the opening hours of the host venue.
