Mexican cacao and voice medicine to release, remember, and return home to your own heart.
Open your heart. Honor your essence. Connect.
This ceremony closes Ricardo's time in the south of Portugal, arriving just as the September equinox approaches — a moment of balance between light and dark, often seen as a natural point for closing one chapter and opening another.
Ricardo Mones, Mexican cacao facilitator and founder of Cacaocito Maya, brings organic Mexican cacao sourced directly from artisans in Tabasco, Mexico. This circle will be held with the very last kilo of the 40kg he brought with him across Europe.
This isn't just another cacao ceremony. People who've sat in Ricardo's circles often say it's the best they've experienced, or that it went far beyond what they expected — simple, but deep, held through voice and frequency.
His medicine is voice and chanting, a relationship he's carried since he was young, woven into cacao as the anchor that brings it into the body and into community.
Because this is the last of this cacao, space is limited to 20 people — a true closing circle, at sunset, by the sea.
What to expect
A full 250ml ceremonial cup, made with 40g of pure, organic Mexican cacao.
A singing circle held through devotional chanting and live guitar — an invitation to reconnect with your own voice as medicine, in collective community prayer. Space held with presence and depth for whatever wants to move through you. No experience needed — first-timers are always warmly welcomed.
What to bring
- Your favourite cup or mug for the cacao
- Water
- Flowers and/or a candle for the altar, or any object you'd like to place or charge there (optional, but welcome)
- A layer for later, as it cools in the evening
- A yoga mat or blanket, and a cushion to sit on
Investment
- £20 in advance (Monday, September 14 – Saturday, September 19)
- £25 on the day of the ceremony
- £50 total for groups of 3 (until the day before)
