Join us for a unique experience with Mexican cacao and voice medicine to open your heart and connect with your essence.
This ceremony marks the end of Ricardo's time in southern Portugal before he heads north to walk the Camino de Santiago. Ricardo Mones, a Mexican cacao facilitator and founder of Cacaocito Maya, will use the last kilo of the 40kg of organic Mexican cacao he brought from artisans in Tabasco, Mexico.
Participants often describe Ricardo's ceremonies as the best they've experienced, going beyond expectations with a simple yet profound approach through voice and frequency. His medicine combines voice and chanting, creating a deep connection to cacao as a means to embody community.
As this is the final cacao ceremony, space is limited to 20 participants — a true closing circle at sunset by the sea.
What to expect
A full 250ml ceremonial cup, made with 40g of pure, organic Mexican cacao. Voice activation through devotional chanting and live guitar will invite you to reconnect with your voice as medicine. The space will be held with presence and depth for whatever wants to unfold. No prior experience is necessary; first-timers are warmly welcomed.
What to bring
• Your favourite cup or mug for the cacao
• Water
• Flowers and/or a candle for the altar, or any object you'd like to place there (optional)
• A layer for warmth as it cools in the evening
• A yoga mat or blanket, and a cushion to sit on
Investment
• €20 in advance (Monday, September 14 – Saturday, September 19)
• €35 on the day of the ceremony
• €60 total for groups of 3 (until the day before)
Language
Held in English. Chants and songs will be in several languages — cacao and music speak the universal language of love.
