“Artur Trigo – The Stone Boy” in Almancil
This staged reading is a tribute to simplicity, to the most genuine affections, and a celebration of life in the countryside and family. The story, told and sung by Susana Quaresma (singer, actress, and author of the book) and with the magical sound of traditional string instruments by Ricardo Fonseca, takes the audience to a world where each grain of wheat tells an important lesson for each family member.
In this experience, music plays a central role, with the session punctuated by traditional songs such as “Cantiga de Segada,” “Não quero que vás à Monda,” and the lullaby “Rosinha do Meio,” which transport the audience to the rural environment where Artur's story unfolds.
The sessions last approximately 60 minutes.
