The Salvador Association, in partnership with the Municipality of Faro, promotes on June 23, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Municipal Library of Faro, an event integrated into the project "Accessibility 2.0", dedicated to promoting inclusion and accessibility. The initiative aims to bring together citizens, technicians, local entities, and people with disabilities, promoting a space for reflection and sharing practical solutions that contribute to a more inclusive and accessible society. The event aims to bring technological innovation closer to the community, through tools and initiatives that facilitate access to information, reinforce the autonomy of people with disabilities, and encourage the identification and overcoming of barriers in public spaces. At the center of the program will be the launch of an innovative virtual assistant, developed to simplify access to information about the rights of people with disabilities, making it clearer, more accessible, and immediately consultable for any citizen. The Self-Advocacy Ambassador Program will also be presented, an initiative aimed at training and empowering people with and without disabilities to act as agents of change in their communities, promoting more active participation in civic and social life. Participation in the event is free, but prior registration is required through the form available at https://associacaosalvador.my.salesforce-sites.com/Evento?idForm=a0eW500000TLwuj&utm_id=97758_v0_s00_e233_tv4_tp1_a1demo0ec1yhz4
Remember that the Accessibility 2.0 operation, supported by the Algarve 2030 program, Portugal 2030, and the European Union, within the framework of European Funds, is based on a collaborative approach, involving public entities, associations, and technical teams, aiming to build a municipality that is more accessible, inclusive, and suited to the needs of all citizens. With this initiative, the Municipality of Faro reaffirms its commitment to developing public policies that promote equal opportunities and social inclusion, valuing strategic partnerships such as the one established with the Salvador Association.
