The Magic of 1001 Nights

On 5th November, at 21:00, the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium in Lagoa will host the 12th Edition of the Oriental Dance Show 💃🏻The Magic of 1001 Nights✨, by the Zhar Louz Group and produced by the Cultural Association of Lagoa Ideias do Levante. Admission is free with ticket collection at the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium.

Prepare to be transported to a universe filled with mysticism, colour, and enchantment. On the night of 5th November, the doors of the Carlos do Carmo Auditorium will open to welcome the 12th edition of "The Magic of 1001 Nights", the annual oriental dance show that has become an unmissable cultural reference in the city of Lagoa.

Originally conceived by mentor Gabriela Sharifa and produced by Ideias do Levante, this year's show celebrates the beauty and diversity of oriental dance under the choreographic direction of Graciete Anwar. The highlight of the evening will be the performance by the acclaimed oriental dance group "Zhar Louz" (Almond Blossoms), whose dancers bring grace and energy to the stage with their choreographies. This group consists of various students of different ages from various oriental dance classes. More than just a technical display, the show proudly embraces its community aspect, serving as a primary stage for newcomers and local artists to share their art with the audience.

Amidst floating veils, the rhythm of the derbake, and the beauty of modern fusions, the promise is of an unforgettable sensory journey through the charm and mystery of the East. A night to dream awake and be swept away by the rhythm.
