Calling for Disasters

The work, published in May of this year, brings together a set of stories where some characters seem to be always drawn to the abyss.

The author José Carlos Barros has won several literary awards, notably the National Poetry Prize Sebastião da Gama, won in 2009 with the work “Sete Epígonos de Tebas". In 2021, with the book “As Pessoas Invisíveis”, he won the LeYa Prize, of which he had already been a finalist with the novel “Um Amigo Para o Inverno” (2012).
