Swallow's Gathering

On stage, singer Susana Travassos joins German pianist Simon Seidl and Algarve accordionist João Frade for a concert built around the songs and musical paths of their careers.

The repertoire features revisited themes presented in a new light, created especially for this formation. The voice, piano, and accordion open space for improvisation, transforming each song into a renewed territory where different languages, geographies, and artistic experiences meet.

More than a succession of themes, this concert proposes a lively encounter between three unique journeys. Familiar songs gain new colours, new breaths, and new possibilities, in a sensitive and spontaneous dialogue between tradition, creation, and improvisation.

“Algarve from Within and Without” evokes a place that is both intimate and open to the world, where Portuguese song, Brazilian lyricism, Iberian poetry, Mediterranean influences, and the freedom of jazz harmonies coexist.
