TEDxPraça Gil Eanes Salon: Pitch Night

What makes an idea worth sharing? And what distinguishes a great speaker? The TEDxPraça Gil Eanes Salon: Pitch Night features eight finalists selected from speaker applications. Each participant will have just three minutes to present their idea to the audience. A jury will make the initial selection, and the final decision will be left to the audience, who will help choose the speaker that will advance to the main TEDxPraça Gil Eanes event, scheduled for 15 May 2027.

In addition to the presentations, the evening will include a selection of TED Talks on public speaking, communication, and the power of a good idea. Former TEDx speakers Izabella Soko, Alicia M. Rodriguez, and Miguel Barbosa will share their experiences, what it means to take the TEDx stage, and the lessons they learned along the way.

The event is aimed at both those considering applying as speakers and those who enjoy new ideas, communication, and live competition. The detailed programme will be announced soon. All presentations, performances, and screenings will be in English, with no Portuguese subtitles.

The ticket includes a glass of wine or a non-alcoholic drink and water throughout the evening. The prices listed by the box office include VAT at 23% and a booking fee of 7.5%. Tickets are fully refundable until 31 October.
