Seminar "Between Caring and Failing: Challenges of Parenthood and the Digital World"

Being a mother, father, or caregiver is a constant challenge. In an increasingly digital daily life, parenthood presents new realities and ways to support children and young people. With this perspective on contemporary parenthood, the CPCJ of Portimão is hosting the seminar "Between Caring and Failing: Challenges of Parenthood and the Digital World" on 18 September at the Portimão Arena Auditorium.

Aimed at parents, caregivers, and professionals, the event offers a morning of reflection and sharing around two complementary perspectives.

"Challenging Parenthood VS Parenthood that Challenges Us" will be presented by Fátima Nunes, General Director and Clinical Psychologist at the Institute of Development.

The digital world and its relationship with positive parenthood will be highlighted in the talk by Magda Lopes, Justice Psychologist at the Institute of Development, under the theme "Digital World: advantages and disadvantages for positive parenthood".

The morning will begin with the presence of Álvaro Bila, Mayor of Portimão, Ana Valente, President of the National Commission for the Promotion of the Rights and Protection of Children and Young People, and Carla Barão, President of the CPCJ of Portimão.

The panels will be moderated by Maria João Freitas, Coordinator of the Regional Technical Team of the National Commission for the Promotion of the Rights and Protection of Children and Young People (CNPDPCJ), and Nuno Encarnação, representative member of residential institutions in the CPCJ of Portimão.
