Orange Week, Photography Exhibition at the Market

This photographic exhibition results from a close and fruitful institutional collaboration between the Portimão City Council and the Gil Eanes Professional School of Portimão.

The initial challenge was to carry out the official photographic coverage and reporting of the events integrated into Orange Week 2026.

After completing this practical immersion on the ground, and with the aim of stimulating creativity, technical rigor, and the talent of the students, the school challenged the students of the Professional Photography Course to participate in an internal competition. This educational event served to select the most striking, dynamic, and aesthetically successful interpretations captured by the young photographers during the celebration of this regional event.

The final exhibition now presented to the public at the Municipal Market of Portimão thus brings together the best-selected photographs. Through the attentive and differentiated gaze of the students, visitors are invited to rediscover the colors, textures, and human dynamics that enhance the agricultural, economic, and cultural identity of our region.
