Popular Saints at the Dunes Walkway
June brings to Quarteira one of the most genuine portraits of Portuguese popular tradition, with the celebration of the Popular Saints at the Dunes Walkway. Over four nights marked on the calendar - the 12th, 19th, 23rd, and 28th - the city dresses in color, music, and joy to celebrate one of the most cherished times of the year. The smell of cotton candy, traditional filhós, and the festive spirit help create a scene where memory and sharing come to life. By the seaside, amidst the sound of the waves and the festive spirit, the Popular Saints of Quarteira assert themselves as a meeting between tradition and community, transforming the Dunes Walkway into a privileged stage of culture and popular identity.
