The European Documentation Centre of the University of Algarve and Europe Direct Algarve, in partnership with the MOVE Network, promote a programme aimed at broadening young people's horizons regarding the European Union. The programme will be broadcast every Monday on 5, 12, 19, and 26 October by various public and private entities working in the Algarve for Europe and for the Algarve community, as well as for cross-border cooperation.

The target audience is young people! We discuss young people as agents of development, whether organised or in informal groups, as well as those for whom policies, measures, and projects are daily created for greater inclusion and awareness of this European Union that aims to be ever closer and at the service of all.

With a duration of 5 to 10 minutes, the programme (which started on 13 December 2021) is broadcast every Monday at 08:45 and 18:45, featuring young people, youth groups, and public and private entities working in the Algarve for Europe, for the benefit of the Algarve community and cross-border cooperation. The production and editing of the programme is also handled by young people, students or volunteers, who are studying or undertaking Erasmus projects in the Algarve.

This weekly programme includes various segments, such as SPEAKCORNER - a space where, through various languages, a set of typical and useful expressions for daily communication in an increasingly intercultural society is presented. In the weekly INTERVIEW, we aim to showcase those in the Algarve and in cross-border cooperation who develop projects with and for young people. Other segments include BREVES from the European Union - providing useful information and news about EU initiatives or programmes – and finally, DID YOU KNOW presents curiosities about the EU.

The choice of "RUA FM at 102.7FM" to broadcast this programme is due to the fact that it is a university radio station listened to by many young people from various nationalities with diverse interests.
