His roots may be in Beja, but his identity as a disc-jockey is spread across the globe. Leader of the prolific label Alienação and co-organiser of the Química parties, João Melgueira's name has been establishing itself as a rising force in Portuguese club culture, making appearances at various festivals and clubs from north to south of the country, serving a platter of drinks and flavours from around the world — from house to tech house, including electronic music.
