This event is part of the 5th edition of Pedra Dura – Algarve Dance Festival.

In 2024, Daniel Matos & João Catarino began the collection “The Crying Cycles”, a trilogy reflecting on the present time and the need for detachment and abandonment to enable a total restart. In this third part, they conclude this three-year collection with performer Joana Simões, delivering everything they have subtracted from the abyss. A floating dream shows us how much we have lost and do not see, how gentle it can be to disappear into something that engulfs us, even if it is invisible. In the dance film “Crying Cycle 3”, we witness the end of this trilogy with the certainty that sadness is a weapon for the future. “... because after all, we never wanted anything.”

Free parking - The Centro Cultural de Lagos and the Municipal Library of Lagos offer free parking at the Ribeirinha Front Park (Avenida dos Descobrimentos) for the audience of their shows/events. To receive this discount, users must present at the park reception a stamp obtained at the ticket office of the Centro Cultural de Lagos or the entrance of the Municipal Library of Lagos. The offer applies only one hour before and up to one hour after each show/event.
