Paus - Tour "Burial"

November 29, 2008, at number 211 on Avenida da Liberdade. This was the beginning of PAUS. December 5, 2026, this will be the end of PAUS. Everything that has happened and will happen between these two dates will be the material with which Makoto Yagyu, Hélio Morais, Fábio Jevelim, and Quim Albergaria will build one last album, one last tour, and one last show. The 18 years of the Siamese drum quartet come to an end with an album, “Burial”, which will be presented in a year-long funeral march during a final national and international tour. This will be the only and last opportunity to see the band live. Bring flowers. We do not know if it is just an announced death or the end of a work without great parallels. We know that this is how PAUS will write their end.

Hélio Morais, Makoto Yagyu, Fábio Jevelim, and Quim Albergaria are PAUS, a band searching in the space between rock, sonic experimentation, and the rhythms and keys that define a diverse and evolving Portugal. With just a bass, keyboards, and a Siamese drum, they create music that insists on passing through the cracks of genres. With 6 albums and 4 EPs released, PAUS has performed hundreds of concerts in Europe, North America, and South America. The group has graced numerous national stages, such as NOS Alive, Vodafone Paredes de Coura, Super Bock Super Rock, Vodafone Mexefest, NOS Primavera Sound, Festival F, among others. Internationally, in addition to participating in showcase festivals like Eurosonic (NL), Europavox (FR), MaMA (FR), SIM (BR), and SXSW (USA), they have played on major stages like Primavera Sound in Barcelona (ES), through the Live Europe circuit, at Le Guess Who? (NL), ATP (UK), Vida Festival, Low Festival, and Festival De Les Arts (ES), Bananada (BR), or at Micro Fest (BL).
