Each initiative requires a minimum number of participants; if this is not met, the activity may be cancelled.

This event is part of the “Magical Words – Meeting of Stories and Arts of the Word”, celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Municipal Library of Lagos.

The performance for children, interpreted in Portuguese Sign Language, uses humour and imagination to reflect on rules, fear of the unknown, and freedom.

Based on a text by Inês Fonseca Santos and Maria João Cruz, directed by Catarina Requeijo, the play follows two guard dogs patrolling a yard, determined to prevent any external threats. The unexpected arrival of a stray cat challenges old certainties and awakens curiosity about what lies beyond the wall. The show invites children to question limits and prejudices, proposing a sensitive reflection on coexistence and openness to others.
