AL-Portel – Association for the Defence of the Environment and Cultural Heritage of São Brás de Alportel is hosting three initiatives throughout October dedicated to history, music, and literature.
11 October, at 9:15 — Guided tour of the Historic Centre and Calçadinha de São Brás de Alportel, themed «São Brás de Alportel — 25 Centuries of History». Meeting point: Praça 1914.
17 October, at 16:00 — Lecture on Bach, «Passion According to St. John, by Bach», by José Carlos Fernandes, at the Costume Museum — Old Gallery Room.
31 October, at 15:00 — Presentation of the novel Sha’Bân Amor ao Luar, featuring Arandis Editora and Renato Proença dos Santos, at the Costume Museum.
An opportunity to discover local heritage and celebrate music and literature in a cultural programme open to the community.
