Jazz in Schools | Cineteatro Louletano | Loulé

After many years bringing Jazz to schools in the Algarve, the Jazz in Schools project of the Algarve Jazz Orchestra now proposes a new experience: schools will come to Jazz, in one of its natural habitats — the stage!

Launched in 1998, in partnership with the Regional Directorate of Education of the Algarve and several municipalities, and integrated since 2004 into the Educational Service of the Algarve Jazz Orchestra, Jazz in Schools aims to connect young people with the language of Jazz, demystifying it through live music, experimentation, and interaction.

With the mediation of Cineteatro Louletano, the stage transforms into a true classroom, where students can discover how a Jazz Orchestra operates, learn about its instruments, understand how music is created, and participate in interactive moments.

These sessions are aimed at students aged 10 and above, combining live musical examples, information, support materials, and participation moments, providing a dynamic and relaxed educational experience.
