IV Congress of the Social City

The Lagoa Congress Centre will host the 💼IV Congress of the Social City🏢 on 01 October, and you can register HERE!

We are pleased to announce the IV Congress of the Social City, taking place on 1 and 2 October 2026.

The first day of the Congress will be in Lagoa - Algarve, followed by the second day in Portimão, bringing together mayors, municipal leaders, technicians, and specialists from various areas of local intervention.

During the Congress, the 2026 Municipal Excellence Awards will be presented in the areas of Sports, Social Action, Education, Youth, Culture, Tourism, Health, Civil Protection, and Open Theme. Good practices in these areas will be showcased in various rooms.

Recognitions will also be awarded for the Holiday Camps Quality Recognition Programme and the Senior Physical Activity Quality Recognition Programme.

Please note that for municipalities and entities registered for the various recognitions, registration (free) for the IV Congress of the Social City is mandatory to ensure participation in the presentation and award moments.

The Congress will also be a privileged space for sharing good practices, knowledge, networking, and valuing the work developed by Portuguese municipalities.
