Tunes is a railway village located in the Algarve's barrocal.
Founded in the 19th century at the junction of the Algarve line and the Southern line, it is now an important point of human, social, poetic, and literary confluences. The distinctly rural essence and the constant flow of people and cultures brought by the rails give it a unique singularity.
It is against this backdrop, proud of our history, our roots, and our tradition, that the Junta de Freguesia de Tunes and the digital cultural dissemination project "O Cravo de Tunes" are pleased to launch the initiative INTERRAIL POÉTICO: TUNES 2026.
Our goal is to combine the bucolic and cosmopolitan spirit of Tunes with the creation of a space for free poetic expression open to the most significant voices from the Algarve and around the world. There is space for everyone in Tunes!
