More than promoting a reflection on the weaknesses of the land planning and management system and the disarticulation of sectoral strategies, this event aims to identify and leverage solutions so that this fundamental axis of public policies can more effectively reconcile environmental, socioeconomic and cultural dimensions, aligned according to a strategic vision of balanced and sustainable development.

9:30 | Opening session – President of the Board of the Terras do Infante Municipalities Association, Hugo Pereira 10:00 | “Land Use Policy: bureaucracy, administrative and procedural complexity” - Professor Margarida Pereira (CICS.NOVA FCSH/UNL) 11:00 | “Coordination in Land Planning and Management – Central, regional and local administration” - Professor João Miranda (FDUL) 12:00 | Debate moderated by Elisabete Rodrigues (journalist and director of Sul Informação) 13:00-14:30: Lunch break (buffet lunch served in the courtyard of the Centro Cultural de Lagos) 14:30 | “Housing crisis and land use” – Professor Fernanda Paula Oliveira (FDUC) – remote/online participation 15:30 | “Planning and managing land” – Professor Sidónio Pardal (urban planner, landscape architect, agronomist and university professor) 16:30 | Debate moderated by Elisabete Rodrigues (journalist and director of Sul Informação) 17:00 | Closing session by José Apolinário (president of the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission)
