Meeting point at the Picnic Park and a walk through the surrounding area of the Forest.
The Barão de São João National Forest is much more than a forest: it is a refuge of biodiversity, a water reservoir, a barrier against soil erosion, and an essential ally in climate regulation. Come discover the natural wealth of this ecosystem, understand the role of its management, and reflect on the challenges it faces. The 2025 fire reminded us of the vulnerability of these spaces, but also their enormous importance for nature and local communities. Join us to discover, value, and contribute to the protection of this unique natural heritage.
This action takes place in the protected area Natura 2000 SIC Site Costa Sudoeste.
