This event is part of the 5th edition of the Festival and Competition of Music Infante D. Henrique.
Spanish virtuoso guitarist Jesús Piñeda presents a programme that traces the evolution of the guitar from European Romanticism to contemporary styles, revealing the cultural and stylistic richness and diversity of the instrument.
The programme includes works by Fernando Sor, J. K. Mertz, Joaquín Rodrigo, Roland Dyens, Egberto Gismonti, and Marco Pereira, traversing different musical traditions and bridging classical language with jazz, popular music, and Latin American influences.
The concert culminates with two dances by Manuel de Falla, concluding a musical journey marked by virtuosity, diversity, and the expressive capacity of the classical guitar.
