The Roots Festival 2026 is a cultural, recreational, and gastronomic event, promoted by ESOSA – African Association of Algarve.
The initiative aims to promote interculturality, social integration, and the appreciation of the different communities residing in the municipality of Portimão, through the dissemination of music, dance, gastronomy, crafts, and African cultural traditions, while fostering interaction between the local community and visitors.
The program features traditional music from PALOP communities and the Diaspora (Portuguese, Brazilian, and African), traditional dance and theater, world foods, and a Fair and Crafts.
