Open Days at Gruta da Companheira - SOLD OUT

The Museum of Portimão is hosting two Open Days at Gruta da Companheira on October 17th and 24th, offering participants the chance to see remnants of Middle Paleolithic occupations identified during ongoing archaeological excavations led by researchers from the University of Algarve (UAlg).

This archaeological site is of particular interest due to the presumed presence of Neanderthals, a topic of great relevance for archaeological research and understanding human evolution.

Each session will have a maximum limit of 20 participants.

Participants are to gather at 10:00 at the parking lot of ETAR da Companheira. Appropriate clothing and footwear for the visit are recommended.

With a limit of 20 participants per session, registrations must be made by October 14th for the first session at https://tinyurl.com/diaaberto17out, and by October 21st for the second session at https://tinyurl.com/diaaaberto24out.
