A man from the sea, from the village of Lagos, embarks on journeys to the so-called “land of the Blacks”, after Gil Eanes rounded Cape Bojador. With him, the caravels descend the African Atlantic coast, weather storms, and bring captives back. Perhaps this man exists only in the memory that a Woman, without a certain identity, brings forth before the audience. As the narrative unfolds, the voices of both become intertwined and contaminate each other. It is no longer clear to whom the diary belongs and who decides what remains in history.
