An evening of poetry featuring the poems that have most marked the journey of the Poet of the City. A performance without musical accompaniment, guided by the narrative thread of discovering the poetry of Miguel Torga and José Régio through the music of Sam The Kid and the spoken word of Napoleão Mira. A performance that seeks to show that poetry is not only discovered or present in books.

BIOGRAPHY: Pedro Freitas is a poet, poetry reciter, and performer from Portugal, born in Lisbon in 1998. Known by the stage name Poet of the City, he has gained recognition for bringing poetry to new audiences, crossing literature, spoken word, social media, and live performances. Today, he has over 300,000 followers on social media, where he shares poetry readings, original texts, and content dedicated to promoting poetic expression. In 2022, he published his first book, "She, Metaphysically from Another World", which stood out in the panorama of independent Portuguese poetry and became the best-selling Portuguese poetry book of 2022 and 2023. In 2024, he released "I Came Without Time", which was awarded the Book of the Year Bertrand Prize in the Poetry category. With poetic performances that combine music, voice, and performance, he has appeared in various venues and cultural events across the country. In 2026, he will return to "She, Metaphysically from Another World" with a new edition, revisiting the work that marked the beginning of his journey as an author, which has ranked among the best-selling books in Portugal, topping the charts of the country's largest bookstores.

Free parking - The Centro Cultural de Lagos and the Municipal Library of Lagos offer free parking at the Frente Ribeirinha park (Avenida dos Descobrimentos) for the audience of their shows/events. To receive this discount, users must present a stamp obtained at the ticket office of the Centro Cultural de Lagos or the entrance of the Municipal Library of Lagos. The offer applies only one hour before and up to one hour after each show/event.
