European Car-Free Day

As part of European Mobility Week 2026, the municipality reaffirms its commitment to promoting sustainable mobility by participating in European Car-Free Day.

Activities and thematic hubs on Avenida dos Descobrimentos (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM) • 10:00 AM | Bike and Scooter Ride - Activity integrated into the “Pé no Pedal – Teaching to Cycle in School” project with the Santa Maria EB1 School. • 10:00 AM | Integration of Preschool and Santa Maria EB1 School in the activities • Reading Corner, by the Municipal Library • Zumba Classes, by Lagos-em-Forma • Health screenings, by the Municipal Civil Protection Service and Lagos Volunteer Firefighters • Bike demonstration, by Algarve Sportland, partner of the Cyclin’Lagos School Sports Bike Ride 3:00 PM – Gathering near the pedestrian bridge at the Marina/Avenida dos Descobrimentos

3:30 PM – Departure Routes: Short – 12 km (round trip), along a stretch of the Coastal Ecovia to Vale da Lama Long – 19 km (round trip), to the Football Field of Odiáxere.
