Concert for Peace - Portuguese Council for Peace and Cooperation - CPPC

In a context marked by increasing challenges to Peace, it is essential to create spaces for reflection, dialogue, and affirmation of the values of solidarity, cooperation, and respect among peoples. In this spirit, the Portuguese Council for Peace and Cooperation (CPPC) promotes the 4th Concert for Peace in Loulé, bringing together various artists for a cultural moment in service of Peace. More than a cultural event, this concert is a gathering of citizens around values enshrined in the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic and a commitment to the peaceful resolution of conflicts, justice, and cooperation. We invite the entire community to join this moment of sharing and participation, reaffirming that culture is also a means to promote Peace. Because for Peace, we are all needed!

About the Portuguese Council for Peace and Cooperation (CPPC) The CPPC was formally established on 24 April 1976 and legitimises itself as the heir of peace movements in Portugal since the 1950s. This non-profit association is dedicated to mobilising public opinion for the defence of peace, international security, and cooperation, as well as friendship and solidarity among peoples, in accordance with the United Nations Charter. Over its more than 45 years of activity, the CPPC has developed initiatives for peace education, culture, disarmament, and international solidarity, involving schools, municipalities, associations, and movements throughout the country. Internationally, it integrates global peace networks, notably as a member of the World Peace Council, where it assumes coordination roles in Europe.
