In this unforgettable film, acclaimed director Werner Herzog explores the life and death of Timothy Treadwell, an amateur naturalist and wildlife preservation advocate, and his passion for the Alaskan grizzly bear. For thirteen summers, Treadwell observed and studied the behaviour of these bears, photographing and filming all his experiences. In October 2003, his remains, along with those of his companion Amie Huguenard, were found near their campsite in Katmai National Park, Alaska. They had been killed and eaten by a grizzly bear, becoming the first victims of a bear attack in the park. In "Grizzly Man", Herzog guides us through the mysteries of wildlife as well as those of human nature.
