Seed Balls in the Fight Against Desertification

The Municipal Park of Sítio das Fontes, in Estômbar, will host the 👨‍🏫In-Person Workshop Seed Balls in the Fight Against Desertification🌱, with Ivo Rosa, on June 20th from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Registration is free! As part of the environmental awareness and urban biodiversity promotion activities, this practical workshop aims to engage participants in creating seed balls and valuing flowering meadows as ecological tools to enhance biodiversity and attract pollinators. During the activity, topics related to the ecological importance of flowering meadows, native species, pollination, and simple sowing and propagation techniques will be addressed. Participants will build seed balls using natural materials, acquiring knowledge and skills that they can later apply in educational, community, and domestic contexts.
