End the day the right way — drinks and good company at Faro's most iconic café.After a full day of architecture across Tavira and Faro, Saturday evening is for slowing down and comparing notes.

Café Aliança is one of the oldest and most beloved cafés in Faro — a place where the city has been meeting, debating and celebrating for over a century. Its interior, largely unchanged, is a piece of living heritage in its own right.

It is also where Manuel Gomes da Costa had his habits. The architect whose buildings have shaped our entire weekend was a regular here — sitting at these same tables, in this same light. There is something quietly fitting about ending a day spent inside his work in the place where he himself used to sit.

Join fellow participants, guides and friends of The Modernist Weekend for an informal evening of drinks and conversation. No agenda, no programme — just the pleasure of good company in a place that deserves to be sat in slowly.
